From January to July, the profit of industrial enterprises with certain business scales decreased by 1.1% y-o-y to RMB4.89295 trillion, according to NBS. The profit of state-owned enterprises and state shareholding enterprises increased by 8.0% y-o-y to RMB1.73706 trillion. The profit of joint-stock enterprises increased by 3.2% y-o-y to RMB3.63473 trillion. The profit of foreign and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan invested enterprises decreased by 14.5% y-o-y to RMB1.09353 trillion. The profit of private enterprises decreased by 7.1% to RMB1.31165 trillion.

Meanwhile, the profit of mining industry increased by 105% to RMB996.11bn. For manufacturing industry, the profit decreased by 12.6% y-o-y to RMB3621.72bn. In ferrous metal smelting and rolling industry, the profit went up by 5.1% y-o-y.

The sales revenue of industrial enterprises with certain business scales increased by 8.8% to RMB76.57 trillion during January to August.
